En esta oportunidad les traemos una nueva publicación en nuestra sección de Ingles de Negocios. Cuando nos comunicamos en el trabajo necesitamos aprender frases que van acordes con situaciones de negocios. Muchas veces queremos ser mas profesionales cuando nos expresamos en inglés pero no tenemos el vocabulario o frases adecuadas. En esta publicación les entregamos frases de inglés de negocios que lo ayudarán a expresarse en situaciones laborales y profesionales.

Frases de Inglés de Negocios 

1. Comenzar una llamada de conferencia.
Hoy en día es común hacer llamadas en reunuiones grupales llamadas conference calls. Acá algunas frases:

“Are we all on?” – ¿Estamos todos conectados?
“Can I ask that we all state our names, please?” – Frase para pedir a los participantes decir sus nombres.
“I’m here. It’s [your name] in [your city].” – Para identificarse se dice “It’s Carlos” o “This is Carlos”.
“Can everybody hear me?” – ¿Me pueden oir bien?

2. Clarifying Things on a Phone Call
Ya sea por algún problema técnico, pobre señal o quizás un acento difícil, es importante saber como pedir clarificación al hablar. Por ello les recomendamos estas frases:

• “Could you speak more slowly, please?”
• “Could you repeat that, please?”
• “Would you mind spelling that for me, please?”
• “Could you explain that in another way, please?” – Las 4 frases son para pedir algo.

• “I’m afraid I didn’t get that.” – Me temo que no entendí lo que dijo.

3. Taking a Break from the Conversation
Una llamada grupal puede ser larga o a veces incluso estresante. A veces es necesario hacer una pausa y se requiere ser amable.

“[Your name] speaking. I need to leave for ten minutes. Is that okay with everyone?”
When you return, let everybody know you are back by saying:

“[Your name] here. I’m back on the line again.”
“[Your name] just coming back in here, thanks everyone.”

4. Starting a Great Presentation

Es común que en el centro de trabajo se le dé la oportunidad de dar una presentación en inglés. Pueda que tenga un nivel aceptable pero muchas veces nos faltan frases que nos ayuden a llevar bien la presentación. Acá unas frases que pueden usar:

“Welcome everybody, my name is [your name] and I am the designer for GPLZ Video.”
“Hi, I’m [your name] and I’m the designer for IBM.”
“Good morning/afternoon/evening ladies and gentlemen, I’m [your name].”
“Hi everyone, I’m [your name]. I’m going to keep this brief, as I know you’re all busy people. I’m going to make this quick for you…”

5. Introducing the Topic of Your Presentation
Despues de presentarse a si mismo, pasa a presentar el tema de su presentación.

“Today I’m here to talk to you about…” – Hoy me encuentro aquí para hablarles de …
“I’m delighted to be here today to tell you about…” – Estoy encantado de estar aquí hoy para contarles acerca de…
“Today I would like to outline ourj plans for…” – Hoy quisiera exponer nuestros planes para …

Es bueno siempre ordenar nuestra presentaciones con palabras como “Firstly, Then, Finally, and To conclude“.

Firstly I’ll talk about…” or “I’ll start with some general information on…”
Then I will look at…” or “then we’ll go over…”
And finally we’ll look at…” or “ To conclude we’ll touch on…”
“I will be glad to answer any questions that you may have at the end of this presentation.”

6. Ending Your Presentation
Frases para terminar la presentación.

“Well, that brings me to the end of my presentation, thanks so much for listening.”
“It was a real pleasure being here today. Goodbye and thank you.”
“Well that’s it from me. Thanks a lot.”

7. Being an Active Participant in Meetings
Permanecer activos promueve un buen ambiente y además hace que los demás se sientan más agusto. Estas frases se pueden usar para evitar los silencios y mostrar interes o ser más participativo.

“Sorry, I interrupted you. You were saying…?” – Disculpa por interrumpirlo, ¿Qué estaba diciendo?
“Please go on…” – Prosiga por favor.
“After you…”  – Despues de usted.

A veces no entendemos algo y es necesario pedir clasificación. Esto es porque quizás no dominamos el idioma completamente o por algún problema de conexión o de problemas para entender algún acento.

“I’m sorry, but could you speak up a little?” – Disculpe, ¿Podría hablar un poco mas alto?
“I didn’t quite hear that, sorry, can you say that again?” – No pude escuchar bién, ¿Podría decir eso de nuevo?
“I didn’t catch that last bit. Can you say it again please?” –No entendí lo último. ¿Podrías repetir eso por favor?

Estar de acuerdo con alguien

• “I totally agree with you on that.” – Estoy completamente de acuerdo con usted en ese punto.
• “Okay, I think we are all on the same page here…” – Creo que estamos en la misma página.
• “Yes, I get what you’re saying…” – Entiendo lo que estas diciendo.

No estar de acuerdo con alguien 

• “I’m afraid I have to disagree…”
• “From our perspective, it’s a little different. Let me explain.”
• “Well, yes and no—can I tell you how we see it?”

8. Negotiating Successfully
Cuando se negocia no siempre se gana. A veces buscamos el mejor punto medio. Para negociar necesitamos frases que nos ayuden a llegar a un buen puerto con la otra persona.

• “I understand that we can’t do that, but can we discuss some other alternatives?” – No podemos hacer eso pero podemos discutir otras alternativas.
• “I hear what you’re saying, but our bottom line is very clear on this one.” – Escucho lo que dices pero nuestra propuesta es muy clara en este tema.
• “This is the deal breaker for us, we can’t budge.” – Esto es una buena propuesta para ambos.

9. Planning for Future Meetings
Planear otra reunión en un futuro cercano.

• “I’d like to set up a meeting with you at your earliest convenience. When are you free?” – Me gustaría agendar una reunion lo mas pronto posible.
• “Are you free to talk again next week?” – Esta libre para hablar de nuevo la próxima semana.
• “When can we talk about this again?” – ¿Cuándo podemos hablar de nuevo?
• “How does 2:30 p.m. Thursday sound?”
• “Does Thursday at 2:30 p.m. suit you?” – ¿Qué le parece el jueves a las 2:30 pm? 

Confirmar la reunión

• “Thursday at 2:30 p.m. then, that would be fine.”
• “Okay, I look forward to seeing you then.”
• “Thursday at 2.30 p.m. Looking forward to it, see you then.”
• “Thursday at 2.30 p.m., bye for now.”

Si ya está comunicandose en inglés en el trabajo y en negocios aprender nuevas frases y lenguaje le ayudarán para mejorar en todo aspecto comunicativamente.  El inglés es el idioma universal de los negocios en todo el mundo.
